E-Books arrive at Vernon Parish Library

E-BOOKS ARRIVE AT VERNON PARISH LIBRARY

Leesville - Vernon Parish Library announces that e-books have arrived and are ready for download. Provided by the State Library of Louisiana, the Vernon Parish Library now offers more than 1,200 e-books for downloading and many more that can be read in a browser. In addition, patrons may download from a catalog of more than 200 audio books. Up to five e-books and five audio books may be checked out at a time.

Titles are primarily nonfiction, for both adult and young readers.

After two weeks, the e-book or audio book automatically expires from the device, thus eliminating the possibility of overdue fines.

To access these materials outside the library, a patron must use a public library card to log onto http://lalibcon.state.lib.la.us/.

To find out more, call 337-239-2027 or 800-737-2231.

This service is provided to Louisiana residents through the Institute of Museum and Library Services, which is the primary source of federal support for the nation’s 123,000 libraries and 17,500 museums. The Institute's mission is to create strong libraries and museums that connect people to information and ideas.
